Self-Management Education to Control Blood Sugar Levels and Hba1c Value for Type 2 Diabetes Patients

Backgroud: Self-care education can be carried out patients with diabetes through the Diabetes Self-Management Education (DSME) method. The DSME method helps people to perform type 2 self-management in managing and treating diabetes, such as controlling blood sugar levels HbA1c values. Objective: purpose of this research is understand effect for reducing decreasing values ​​in patients. Methods: design a Pre-Experimental Pretest-Posttest Group Design Design, approach which aims see use This was conducted from July October 2021. location at Curup Regional General Hospital, Rejang Lebong Regency. Respondents study were 35 diabetes. instrument used consisting 3 instruments, including theoretical concept care treatment complications Results: results show significant change before after DSME. Before being out, Mean±SD 341.60±157.589; meanwhile, intervention, became 107.97±9.984 p:0.001. On other hand, Value intervention 8.4313±2.2610, value 6.4553±1.2426 p=0.001.
